Texture, Line & Edges
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The line or edges of the photo leads the eye into and beyond the grand scene. Thus, have a foreground with interest that leads to the main part of the picture.Texture lays within the edges and can be rough, smooth, crusty, granulated, soft, etc and can help set the "mood" of your overall picture. Patterns are created from edges whether they're delineatd or soft. Edges and lines are horizontal, vertical, diagonal, zig zagged, or S like.WHAT I NEED TO KNOW
I often experiment with low and high angles to capture texture and line. But,if I get too low with patterns in the sand dunes or shadowing in snow, I loose the edges or patterns. Experimenting with low and high positions to your subject just adds alternative positioning to just "standing" there.Copyright 2012 Wild Nature Trails. Website design by photosilk.com.
