Light, Shadows & Edges

Light creates edges which generate shape & form. Patterns & layers develop & lead my eye further into the scene. Form shows “depth” and is 3 dimensional. Shape is flat, like a silhouette, and is 2 dimensional. Edges are horizontal, vertical, diagonal, ragged or curving and sensuous. They dictate, organize, & define my subject. All are crafted within light & a balanced composition. In its entirety, edges make up the whole scene.
